The tunes and tears of Kid’s Choice

Like any quality award show, the Kid’s Choice Awards was booming with killer beats all night long. The Pussycat Dolls got the audience moving early in the show with rousing performances of "Jai Ho" and "When I Grow Up" and the Jonas Brothers rocked the house with their hit songs, "SOS" and "Burnin' Up".

The very talented Miley Cyrus and Beyonce were both was honored for their stellar vocal talents. Beyonce won best song for “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” and Miley was brought to tears when announced as favorite female singer. "I really thought I was gonna lose, so thank you, guys," said Miley.

The JoBros took best band and helped wrap up the fantastic night with host Dwayne Johnson who, with the help of Polynesian dancers, summoned the "slime temple" to spew the sticky stuff all over the audience. It didn’t work, and instead the Jonas Brothers emerged and sang a beautiful a cappella. Unfortunately for them, the musical key of G (for green of course) caused slime to spew out of the Slime Pyramid and cascade over the boy band, “The Rock,” the dancers and much of the audience.

We knew music was powerful, but we did not know it was so explosive! What do you think about the musical selection of the Kid’s Choice Awards? How much would you love to see the JoBros get covered with green goo? Comment below!
