The Wolverine himself called into Ryan Seacrest’s radio show on Friday to announce the winner of his $100,000 twitter test. If you are one of his 120,000 followers on Twitter.com, you know that on April 14th Hugh Jackman tweeted an important message worth a lot of dough:

“I will donate 100K to one individual’s favorite non profit organization. Of course, you must convince me why by using 140 characters or less.” This tweeter challenge ended in a tie that Hugh just didn’t have the heart to break. So instead he split the money between the two charities.

Half went to Charity: Water—a non-profit initiative in NYC that brings clean, safe drinking water to people around the world. The other half went to Operation of Hope—a medical foundation of all-volunteer medical doctors who donate surgeries to children in developing countries born with facial deformities.

Do you approve of Hugh Jackman’s creative and conscious twittering tactics? Or do you think it was an easy way of choosing a cause? What about his choice of giving money to foreign outreach and not American efforts? Do you think he is sending the wrong message? Comment below!
