What is in a Stephen Colbert care package you might ask? Well, Tom Hanks joined Colbert during his "Operation Iraqi Stephan" segment last week to find out. The “fake World War II and Vietnam war vet” himself was excited to make magic happen.

The "practical" items included shaving foam, TANG powder, Trail Mix (as Colbert says—a metaphor for Iraq itself…the troops are the M&Ms), a heartfelt message, ice cream, and puppies. And when they are (finally) done with their insane package, they remind us to go and make our own care package for a soldier overseas by going to www.uso.org.
