Tracy Morgan’s son saved him
via FoxNews.com
Emmy-nominated 30 Rock actor Tracy Morgan has come a long way. Four years ago, Tracy Morgan was arrested twice for drunk driving. Since then, he’s steered clear of that path and has proudly remained sober.
The SNL alum announced on PBS’ Tavis Smiley earlier this week that his son saved him from going down the wrong road. In 2007, Morgan’s now 18-year-old son confronted him with his disappointment, questioning, “What are you doing, Dad? What if I start driving and drinking? Would that be cool?”
Morgan admits his regret but has since promised himself and his son to learn from his own mistakes. We think his son’s inspiration for his sobriety serves as a statement to all teens that everyone can make a difference – and we can start by reaching out to those in need who are closest to us. In doing so, Morgan’s son has helped to keep one less drunk driver off the roads.
