Twilight star is PETA proud

Learn more about Twilight at peta2.com

You may have seen this upcoming starlet on Disney's Hannah Montana. Or perhaps you recognize her as the brainy brunette from her recurring role on Nick's Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. One thing's for sure: if you haven't seen or heard of Christian Serratos yet, you're bound to in about five seconds thanks to a little film called Twilight.

Christian plays Bella Swan's bespectacled BFF, the school photographer.

But in a recent interview with Peta2, Christian skimps on the vampire talk to discuss an issue less fantastical and more realistic: animal welfare and animal cruelty.

Check out the video above where Christian gives her two cents on fur, dissection, animal testing, and her little dog "Gorilla" too! Note: Make sure not to miss Christian's Do Something (sort of) shout-out at the end! Just a coincidence?? We love you, Christian!

It's really great that she took time to speak out about a very important issue. I do petitions and tables for PETA and animal shelters in order to raise awareness for animal rights. It is a very noble cause that in need of much more attention. Way to go Christian!
