Usher gives a makeover
via Look to the Stars
Back in October, Usher traveled to Tennessee to help out a family in need, taping an episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and it looks like his work will continue to do good long after he leaves Tennessee.
The episode airs this Sunday, and tells the story of the Scott family, who lost dad Dave in a car accident when he was on duty as a police officer. Mom Trina started working with a group called Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS), which supports the family members of police officers killed in the line of duty. Structural problems made the Scott’s house unlivable, so Extreme Makeover stepped in, building the family a brand-new house in just seven days. Usher got in on the action, and his New Look Foundation gave the family $25,000 to help out their cause. The money will be used by COPS to give out grants of $500 and to support local community projects.
