Barack Obama made HISTORY last night by becoming the first African American President of the United States! But for one of his main campaigners, Usher, that's not even the issue.

Right after the election results were announced, Usher said, "This is such an amazing moment in our country's history. Man, I literally just walked off stage from my concert when word came in that Obama had won and my adrenaline shot right back up! I think the whole country should be proud because it demonstrates that we're the kind of country that walks the walk. We reward those who are willing to work hard PERIOD.... no exceptions. For all of the youth who dared to believe this is their reward, for all of the youth who participated in rallies, knocked on doors, took their parents to the polls, this is your reward!"

That's our sentiment exactly. From waking up early to stand in line and cast our vote, we were so proud to see the millions of Americans--and especially YOUTH Americans--getting active in their government, and can't wait to see the next steps in the movement.
