You gotta love Usher. The guy could just sit around counting his money, but that's SO not style.

Instead, the artist who started the New Look Foundation -- and reportedly donated $5 million of his own money in 2008 to help the org empower young people and start them on the road to becoming entertainment moguls -- is taking part in several inaugural events this week.

Among them: Monday's Kids Ball, which is being thrown by Michelle Obama, where Usher will perform on a bill that also includes Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus. Also tune into MTV to see the Atlanta native (who filmed a PSA with Do Something a few months back, above) acting as a special inaugural correspondent. CGG loves that he's going to share that spotlight with two youth leaders from New Look who were responsible for lots of registering November 4 voters -- event though they aren't old enough to vote themselves!
