David Archuleta + Do Something = true love forever!

OMG, how do we love thee, David Archuelta?! Let CGG count the ways!

1. He's Doing Something good!
The just-turned 18 year-old (his bday was Dec. 28) is the spokesperson for Do Something's 2009 disaster relief grants, a campaign powered by the so-so-generous Dunkin' Brands Community Foundation.

2. He's an idol AND a role model.
Yesterday, while preparing to film a PSA campaign for the super-sized campaign (52 grants will be given away -- that's one EVERY SINGLE WEEK for a year!), Archie asked his mom to help him unzip the fake fur on his coat's hood. Why? He didn't want to take a chance on upsetting any of his fans who might have mistaken it for real. Aww.

3. He's an inspiration to his fans.
Archie couldn't have been nicer to our auction winners, Julia and Aimee, who flew to NYC from Nashville on a day's notice! Julia was so inspired by the experience -- and David's talk of how dedicated he is to causes like Invisible Children and Bono's One org -- that she's going to apply for a Disaster Relief Grant AND start a Do Something club at her school.

Oh, we could go on and on and on -- the reasons to love Archie are endless! So watch this space: David told CGG his idea of a perfect Valentine's day date, what he thinks of the new American Idol judge, and what his plans are for the inauguration. You'll just have to stay tuned to CGG for the interview!

and thats so amazing that they can give out grants EVERY week of the year! wow, thanks Dunkin!

maybe Dunkin could put that on their coffee and hot chocolate cups so kids can find out about this!!!

omg i LOVE archie and I live right outside New Orleans so I know first hand how necessary disaster relief grants are to communities like mine. I will DEF apply for a grant

Notice that he has not one but TWO wristbands that support different causes.
I <3 Archie

ahh, this is gonna be so awesome!!!

he's so cute and a caring human being. i love him!

Sounds like Do Something and Celebs Gone Good has a "crush" on David Archuleta. It's totally understandable . . . don't we all. I was totally shocked when he lost the Idol crown to the other David. But really, who's doing better now? I'd have to say Archuleta. And I like him even more now since I know he's using his newfound fame for good. Yeah!

when's the interview going to be posted? i can't wait! btw, he should have won american idol!

oh gosh i just love him soooo MUCH hes the one who got me started on this!
