Before he became this year's American Idol, David Cook went to visit former contestant Luke Menard at an LA hospital. Luke was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Cook says that he and Luke bonded at American Idol's Hollywood week, and told People Magazine, "I love Luke and I just wanted to show up and make sure he understood that I love him and know that if there's anything I can do for him and his wife, sign me up, you know?" David's brother Adam has been battling brain cancer for 10 years, and a fund was started to fly him to the American Idol finale.

A rep told FOXNews that Luke has a good prognosis, and we here at CGG are rooting for him.
