Change-makers in Black History: Barack and Michelle Obama

Black History month has come and almost gone and next week it’s time to honor a whole new slew of change-makers - - women, in honor of Women’s History Month!
But first, we bring you two of the most current and influential change-makers in black history yet – Barack and Michelle, of course!
President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama have unquestionably brought change to the country and to Washington. As our nations first black President and First Family, the Obamas have broken down walls for all of us.
Beyond this, with his political agenda, President Obama is poised to bring change to the nation’s economic landscape, our foreign policy, and our reputation abroad. Legislatively, he has done more in his first days in office than any other modern president.
The importance of service to the Obamas and their vision of a “service nation,” a nation of do-er’s, will mobilize us all to act.
On a personal level, many say the ease and strength of their partnership with each other breaks the mold of past famed political marriages.
Even their daughters, Malia and Sasha, are changing it up around the White House, doing their own chores and making their own beds, despite a fully-staffed brigade of help.
