Chris Brown arraignment may be postponed

Chris Brown was a no-show at the Grammys and his next expected public appearance may be a repeat performance.
Brown allegedly beat up then-girlfriend, Rihanna, shortly before the Grammys, and his initial arraignment date was set for March 5th, following his arrest.
Today, the Los Angeles district attorney spokeswoman, Jane Robinson, told E! News arraignment “may not happen.”
She added, “We don’t have the evidence yet. [LAPD] are still investigating…If the detectives determine they need more time, they’ll set a new date for him to come into court.”
If Rihanna decided to press charges against Brown, the case could move forward as planned. However because Rihanna has not pressed any charges yet, it is up to the LAPD to build a case against the R&B star.
Prosecutors have directed the police to seek evidence for felonies such as domestic violence, assault, and even attempted murder but more evidence is needed in order for the LAPD to move forward with a strong case.
80% of young people who are abused continue to date their abuser, and many hope that Rihanna will not become a part of this statistic, despite disheartening evidence to the contrary -- like her hesitance to press charges.
So what do you think -- should Brown be charged with the felonies mentioned above? Should Rihanna have pressed charges right after the incident? Would you have? Let us know, comment below.
