Today is the American Diabetes Association's Diabetes Alert Day!

There are 17.9 million American children and adults with diagnosed diabetes and another 5.7 million who don’t know they have the disease. That’s what Diabetes Alert Day is all about – making sure that people in the U.S. get tested and treated for what can be a manageable condition.

One of DS' fave celebs, Nick Jonas, has Type 1 or Juvenile diabetes and this JoBro has been doing great work to spread the word about diabetes care.

The most important thing is to get checked if you are experiencing any symptoms of diabetes and to spread awareness about the disease so that your friends and family can get checked out too!
