Surfing dogs raise money for orphaned animals

There are about a million different ways you can raise money to help animals, take for example the Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon held in southern California.

People make a per-wave pledge to the dog's owners, and the surf dogs raise money by catching as many waves as they can in a half-hour session. More than 80 dogs competed in the event last weekend, and it raised over $30,000 for orphaned animals.
