ASPCA goes orange in NYC

Today the ASPCA hit the big apple to host an ASPCA Day, "Going Orange for Animals." This celebration, in NYC's Union Square, featured adoptable animals, live music, expert advice from ASPCA behaviorists and poison control specialists, and the ASPCA's very own animals cops from Animal Planet's Animal Precinct.

They also brought along caricaturists, photographers, and airbrushers for crafts so pet-lovers could create keepsakes of their furry friends.

The day was a great success as pet-owners and lovers mingled with ASPCA staffers and volunteers to shared stories and ideas about how to show the most love to their four-legged best friends. Check out the video below to hear more about the event and find out how you can get involved, adopt a pet or take care of the one you already have!

Missed today's shindig? Don't worry, there are tons of ways to get involved in Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month this April. The ASPCA will be landing in Austin on April 18th and Los Angeles on April 25th. If you don't live near these cities, take action online. Learn how you can help prevent animal cruelty.
