Signatures for Malala

The story of 15-year-old Malala Yousafzai is one that has not only touched many, but inspired real change. Last month, Taliban shot the Pakistani teen in the head (she's thankfully making recovery progress) for advocating girls’ education.

Her courage has sparked a movement that thousands worldwide have lent their voices to. As a result, the Office of the UN Special Envoy for Global Education started a petition calling on the Pakistani government to end the discrimination against girls and ensure education for all young people by the end of 2015.

Malala’s petition has garnered a million signatures. And even more baller – the government agreed to the terms of the petition on Friday. UN Special Envoy on Global Education Gordon Brown has declared November 10 a global day of action – a day for Malala.

In honor of Malala and the thousands of signatures from DoSomething.org members in support of this petition, we’ve created a word cloud from the responses. Check it out below.
