Taylor Swift, with her catchy tunes and a flair for doing good, has earned a permanent place in our hearts. Now the pop star is being recognized for her philanthropic efforts at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards this weekend.
Even sweeter—First Lady Michelle Obama will be presenting Swift with The Big Help Award in honor of her extensive acts of good will. The country crooner has helped charities like Habitat for Humanity, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and St. Jude Medical Center. The Big Help Award celebrates those individuals who not only better the world, but inspire young people to do the same.
"Taylor's dedication to helping others has encouraged her fan base to do the same, and this is the very core of what The Big Help is, inspiring others through action," says Marva Smalls, Executive Vice President, Public Affairs and Chief of Staff, Nickelodeon Group.
