Tucker Albrizzi, Reasons He's Great

“It’s important for kids to care about things.”

Wise words from 12-year-old actor Tucker Albrizzi, who’s got a passion for social good and DoSomething.org.

“I picked Do Something as the organization I want to work with because I want to help younger kids get involved,” he shared.

And the Nickelodeon “Big Time Rush” star isn’t the only one that has a special connection to our org. His older brother Pat is a Do Something Award recipient. At age 10, Pat was diagnosed with Leukemia and after learning that a countless number of people were dying because they couldn’t find a proper bone marrow donor match he created Driving for Donors.

Together with his family, Pat toured the US in an RV—raising awareness and starting a 2007 National Marrow Registry. The group hit 32 different cities in 3 months. (Pretty amazeballs.)

“I met a lot of really cool people when we traveled around doing marrow drives,” said Albrizzi. “I did a lot of interviews with Patrick so maybe that's why I wanted to be an actor.” And his cause-y interests don’t stop there.

“I'm really passionate about animals,” the 12-year-old stated. “I want to help dogs get adopted. I especially love pandas and want to make sure they are protected.”

His advice for teens looking to take action: “Find something that you really care about and start small. It doesn't have to be a huge thing like saving the world; maybe start with picking up some trash first.” Check out Tucker and Noah Cyrus’ PSA here
