PopEater had the chance to catch up with Blonsky at DoSomething.org's Teens for Jeans event at the Aeropostale in Times Square, and she chatted with us about her charitable work.

It is basically gathering a bunch of jeans for Homeless kids," she explains.
Staples and DoSomething.org gave new meaning to “swag” this week as celebrities including actress Nikki Blonsky, singer JoJo, Chuck star Zac Levi, Teen Choice Award winner Lucy Hale and musical performers We the Kings joined teen volunteers to donate 500 “gift bags” of school supplies to underprivileged students in Los Angeles. The star-studded Staples/Do Something 101 party at the Globe Theater at Universal followed the Teen Choice Awards.

Inside the party, Nikki Blonsky was heard donating the shoes right off her feet to DoSomething.org immediately after taking to the stage to address the crowd. She also met up with Francia Raisa at the Waialua Soda Station to sign autographs for fans.

DoSomething.org held an event after the Teen Choice Awards yesterday at the Globe Theatre inside Universal Studios.
Over a thousand backpacks were stuffed at the party with school supplies from Staples for kids who couldn't afford them.
Actress Nikki Blonski from Huge came out along with Singer Jojo to MC the event and helped stuff some of the bags. After guest grubbed on pizza and cookies, We the Kings gave a special performance with some of their hit songs.
After the taping of the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday, many celebs headed over to the Staples and DoSomething 101 Back Pack party at the Globe Theater Universal. Stars such as Zachary Levy, Lucy Hale and Nikki Blonsky helped stuff gift bags with school supplies for underprivileged kids in the Los Angeles area.
