My friend in Samoa, Mikaele Maiva was really devastated by the Tsunami's in the Fall of 2009. He lost a family and his family lost their house. Even though he lost everything he took all his time to rescue.

More than 4 years after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans and the Gulf Coast, the city is no where close to it's pre-storm conditions. Thousands of homes are still abandoned and unlivable, thousands of people have yet to return to the city, unemployment is rampant, and poverty is a huge issue.

I am trying to solve the problem of hunger. The US wastes the most food in the world. My church is trying to provide emergency food for the homeless and less fortunate.
Downgraded to a tropical storm on Monday morning, Ida is expected to come ashore within the next 24 hours.
Despite the downgrade, officials are warning resident of the Gulf Coast not to take the storm lightly. Ida is expected to dump up to eight inches of rain in some parts of the affected area. The hurricane center also warned of "large and destructive waves" caused by the storm.
"A dangerous storm surge will raise water levels by as much as 4 to 6 feet above ground level along the coast near and to the east of where the center makes landfall," the center said.
