American education is falling behind at a fast rate. My objective is to teach young children the true value of an education and the opportunity that a high school to a college education can bring.

Mentoring works! Research shows that kids with a caring adult or older youth role model do better in school and in life. You can be that person that makes a difference in a child's life. Partnership Academy K-6 Charter School serves a 90% Latino, almost 100% low income population. PA and PPL (www.ppl-inc.org) want to make sure that-really-no child is left behind.

The lack of proper ways to educate and influence disabled people, especially children. Therapeutic riding encompases multiple aspects of therapy for any physical or mental disability. From blindness to multiple sclerosis to autism and downs syndrome, riding a horse can teach so much. Balance, coordination, strength, confidence, cause and effect, action and reaction, reading, colors, counting, listening skills, following directions, trusting humans and animals, self-acceptance, and adjusting to a new and sometimes scary situation are all things that can be learned from riding a horse.
