Greenland glacier to lose five billions tons of ice!

The Petermann glacier in Greenland is the largest Arctic glacier, but it’s about to get quite a bit smaller.

Scientists say that an ice chunk around the size of Manhattan is about to fall off of the glacier, which they say has been disintegrating for years now.

Climbing smokestacks for change

The G8 Summit is underway today and this morning members of Greenpeace were high in the sky to get their point across to world leaders. 100 activists from 18 different countries climbed the chimneys of four coal power stations in Italy to send a message to the world leaders at the G8.

They hung banners calling for more green jobs in the fight for climate change and ask these countries convened at the conference to be global leaders.
