WHAT IS GLOBAL WARMING? WHAT ARE THE CAUSES? WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS? IS IT HAPPENING NOW? ARE WE IN DANGER? HOW CAN WE HELP?These are the questions that seem to revolve around the topic of global warming. Yet how many people truly know what it is? How many know the truth? This is why we're starting a Global Awareness Week at our school. Awareness is key. How to create a Global Awareness Week at YOUR school:Talk to your teachers, assistant pricipal and principal about permission to hold an event a week long, and then collaborate with teachers who strongly support action for global awareness.

Billy was pushing awareness of global warming way before Al Gore's, An Inconvenient Truth, came out. Billy's concern about this earth crisis prompted him to take a year off and create a coalition of over 100 student environmental groups. The coalition has held numerous conferences and training sessions, has impacted state energy policy victories and has gathered universities together to pledge to cut down energy use.
