The Prince and Princess of Hope Pageant is a beauty Pageant for children with cancer or other serious illnesses. It was founded by Jena Sims, Miss Georgia Teen USA 2007.

After suffering from and surviving Thyroid cancer, Maria created this organization to empower seriously ill children to soar with their dreams. Maria organizes events where these kids can experience flying in small aircrafts and other fun activities to take their minds off of their illnesses.

After her aunt died of cervical cancer just 33 days after she was diagnosed, 2006 BRICK Award winner Ravneet Kaur set up a mobile clinic for people of all backgrounds providing free education, heart disease and cancer screenings and on-site physician care for uninsured immigrants in New York City. Called The South Asian Community Health Project (SACH), Ravneet's organization has a partnership with NYU Medical School, and has given assistance to more than 3,000 people, diagnosing 515 people with disease before it was too late to cure them.
