Human trafficking as federally defined as: “sex trafficking in which a commercial sex act is induced by force, fraud, or coercion, or in which the person induced to perform such act has not attained 18 years of age; or “the recruitment, harboring, transportation, provision, or obtaining of a person for labor or services through the use of force, fraud, or coercion for the purpose of subjection to involuntary servitude, peonage, debt bondage, or slavery.” Human trafficking is also popularly known as the modern-day slave trade. 17,000 men, women and children are trafficked into the U.S.

December 12th, a global day of arts in celebration of the civil rights movement in Iran. December 12th UN's international human rights day and the 6 month anniversary of the Iranian elections. A group of about 120 orphans in an orphanage in Ivanovo, Russia live with little hope for their future, not enough love in their lives, and with many physical, educational and emotional needs that are left unmet. Studies show that about 40% of orphan boys will one day be in prison, about 40% of orphan girls will one day be in prostitution, and about 10% will one day take their own lives. These statistics can be changed and must be changed, one orphan at a time.
