BAM heads to Ghana
Across Ghana citizens are prepping for Obama’s visit by donning shirts with images of the U.S. leader while street vendors are stocking miniature American flags.
“The fact that his father is African and he picked us makes us special,” said Adrian Landry, general manager of a beach hotel in the capital, Accra.
During his one-day visit, Obama will meet with Ghanaian president John Atta Mills, who took office in January.

The preteen looked around at her world and knew it didn’t have to be this way, so she decided to do something about it.

Earlier this week, Oxfam released a new report tying poverty and climate change together. Basically, the report shows how the effects climate changes, like global warming, impact people in third-world communities a lot more and harder than people in the developed world.
The report reads: “Climate change is happening today and the world’s poorest people, who already face a daily struggle to survive, are being hit hardest.”
