DoSomething.org and VH1 have announced the winners for this year’s 2011 Do Something Awards.

Hosted by Glee star Jane Lynch, the ceremony honored and celebrated the nation’s best young world-changers who represent the pivotal “do-ers” in their field, cause or issue.

Celebrities such as Tyra Banks, David Beckham, Justin Bieber, Sophia Bush, Will Ferrell, Demi Lovato and Olivia Wilde were on-hand to receive awards in a variety of categories from ‘Do Something Movie Star’ to ‘Do Something Athlete’ for all they have done to inspire young people.

Demi Lovato is going to follow up her live performance at Do Something Awards with two live concerts. The ex-girlfriend of Joe Jonas called Ryan Seacrest on his radio show and took to Twitter to announce the upcoming gigs. The first concert will be held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, NY on September 17. The second one will take place at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, CA on September 23. Tickets for both shows will go on sale starting Friday, August 26 at 10 A.M.

I'm not sure we've extended a hearty enough "THANKS!" to VH1's "Do Something Awards." Not only were they home to Demi Lovato's goosebump-inducing performance of "Skyscraper," but they also inspired one of the best Wilson Phillips performances I've ever witnessed!!! My junior high fantasies are finally coming true!!!!

This past Thursday, VH1 aired the second annual Do Something Awards, which represents a partnership between the music channel and DoSomething.org to honor young people’s commitment to social change. The awards ceremony was hosted by Jane Lynch and featured performances from Demi Lovato, OneRepublic with B.o.B, and Foster The People along with an all-star lineup of presenters, which included Kristen Bell, Nick Cannon, Jon Cryer, Victoria Justice, Adam Lambert, Mario Lopez and more.

The 2011 Do Something Awards brought out the best and brightest “do-er”s in Hollywood and beyond. Demi Lovato, Ashley Benson, JoJo, Sophia Bush, Brittany Snow and many more dolled up in hot fashions for the night. Let us know who your fave was! We fell in love with Brittany’s Camilla and Marc dress and our eyes were definitely drawn to JoJo’s Katie Mae pink mini! The night honored Sarah Cronk and her organization, The Sparkle Effect, plus four other finalists who are making the world a better place.

A year ago, Demi Lovato was spiraling toward rehab, just a couple months away from the incident that would finally make her realize: enough is enough. Fast forward 12 months, though, and Lovato has turned her life around. She's completed treatment, she's owned up to Bipolar Disorder and she's talked honestly many of her personal demons. Professionally?

Demi Lovato performed her new single, “Skyscraper,” live for the first time on Vh1′s Do Something Awards, which aired last night. I remember seeing Lovato sing “Here We Go Again” on The View two years ago, and it was clear she was having some vocal issues. We all know why now. But I’m happy to say that, except for a slightly shaky start, her pipes were in fine form during her spirit and stage-lifting performance of “Skyscraper.” Check out the belty performance below:
