Artists voyage to the High Arctic!

CGG recently clued you in to superstars Vanessa Carlton, Feist, KT Tunstall, Jarvis Cocker, Laurie Anderson, and Brian Eno all joining together to embark on a 9-day trip with Cape Farewell to the High Arctic.

The mission? To inspire artists to action through their experience observing scientists and oceanographers at work in the epicenter of climate change.

Last night, CGG took a break from the absolute madness that is New York Fashion Week, and attended an intimate gathering at songbird Vanessa Carlton's Soho loft for her send-off party to the Arctic.

Vanessa Carlton is an eco goddess who practices what she preaches – right down to how she throws down!

In anticipation of her voyage to the High Arctic, the frontline of climate change, with the UK-based Cape Farewell, Vanessa’s having a soiree at her New York loft. But more than the usual amount of planning has gone into this celebration. The cups are biodegradeable. The napkins are made from recycled paper. And the plates are made from a sugar-cane base, so they won’t be sitting in a landfill for decades to come.
