Well, it’s official. Michael Phelps is taking some heat for smoking marijuana. Not by his mother, not by his coach, but by the Kellogg's cereal company. No longer will Phelps’ Olympic grin grace the sides of our Corn Flakes or Frosted Flakes.
Phelps fallout
Earlier this week, it seemed like Michael Phelps' teammates, fans, and sponsors were sticking by him despite the photo that surfaced showing the record-breaking swimmer smoking marijuana.
Now, however, Phelps is dealing with some unwanted consequences from his bad decision. USA Swimming is suspending Phelps from competition for three months and cut off its financial support to Phelps for the same three months, starting yesterday.
