The woman who makes Sue Sylvester so inhospitable has a new role: TV host. “Glee” star Jane Lynch returns to host the Do Something Awards for the second year at 9 p.m. Thursday on VH1. The event honors celebrities who better the world through their activism. But one category salutes everyday people who are younger than 25; that winner will receive $100,000.

In addition, the hit NBC reality TV show “The Voice,” which features Shelton as one of its four superstar coaches and included McEntire among its first-season celebrity advisers, has been nominated for a Do Something Award.
