Get your community interested in your cause by coordinating an exhibit of visual art with your cause as the theme. It’s a great way to educate while having fun!
We've got a tip for anyone who leaves the magazine section of bookstores dissapointed: Do it yourself. While this motto doesn't work for operating heavy machinery, it's a perfect approach to raising awareness about a cause.
Find a Focus
Write down what you want your magazine to be about. Ask yourself:
Hosting a benefit concert is a great way to raise money for your cause while having fun and rocking out to a super cool band.
Build your team
Planning an event is stressful, so don’t do it alone. Make a Facebook status announcing your plan to host a concert and ask if anyone is interested to help.
Get the go ahead. You don’t want to get on your principal’s bad side so first make sure that he or she is okay with this sort of thing.
Get your teachers on board. Have the teachers promise to do something crazy if you reach a certain goal, like promise to wear a ridiculous t-shirt to work or shave their heads. The hope of punishing a teacher has a certain way of inspiring people.
