An easy and incredibly thoughtful way to commemorate our veterans is to preserve their story in the library of Congress. Simply conduct an interview with a U.S. veteran and send it to the government so that the story can live on forever.

What if all you had left of a loved one was photos and memories? For those that have a family member killed as a soldier in the War Against Terrorism, that is all they have left of them.

Want to help? Using the family’s favorite photo, create hand-drawn or painted portraits for the family of a servicemen or women who has been killed in the line of duty.

Organize an awareness campaign about dating violence.

The key to openness is awareness. Organize an awareness campaign about the issues of dating violence and what it means to be in a healthy relationship. Invite experts to speak at your school or church, and see if you can get a survivor of violence share his or her story.
