A State of Emergency has been declared in California due to the raging forest fires that have destroyed over a thousand homes and relocated over 250,000. Do Something Architecture for Humanity’s San Diego and Los Angeles Chapters are currently on the ground responding to the fires that have left more than 1500 homes destroyed these last few days. We're starting an appeal to support their work and help with reconstruction. |

Be Aware
When you hear, see, or heard about a storm coming your way, listen to several lights and sirens to warn you. As soon as you hear this, be sure to close all doors, windows, and get the things you need quick, and go down to the basment and wait.
Always Up To Date
After you have checked your items in your disaster kit, be sure to check all flashlights and batteries every month. You don't want anythig not working when you need it, do you?
