Helping in person
I am in a student leadership group in my school and during Febuary break we are goin to New Orleans to help build houses for Habitat for Humanity and to raise money to pay to go down there we are having a carneval, garage sales and bake sales so far we have raised 1400 dollors.
New Orleans
I live in Baton Rouge. We didn't get a big effect from the hurricanes, but New Orleans did, unfortunately. And I feel sorry for the people that were effected there. The city is still a disaster. We need to help out 140% in this city. It is one of the greatest cities, and the busiest in the state. This place needs to get moving again.
Kinda Hard
I think it would be a good idea if you combine all of the types of shows that you could have into one mega party. Such as a Talent/Bakesale/games and activities/entrance fee MEGA PARTY!!!! Try it at your school talk it over with your teachers or authorities at school to see how much money you can raise. To raise even more money try this at a public place so that you can get more local people and charge an entrance fee be careful with this because this could be illegal in some places. You could try a public place such as an Arcade.
Ideas for fundraising
Lotteries are pretty guaranteed ways to add extra $$ for an event you are already running.
Guess the # of pennies contest.
A school in Iowa put their ministers on the roof as a reward for hitting a fundraising goal.
Movie night at a school.
Easy
you could set up a money fund at your school and make color cans to collect money at the end of every week.
