Malaria kills more than 1 million people each year. A child dies from malaria approximately every ten seconds. Most of these malaria-caused deaths occur in Africa, and most could be prevented by a $10 bed net. Mosquitoes are the #1 carrier of the disease, but pesticides are not a global solution.
