The U.S. is #1! Unfortunately the U.S. is #1 in trash producing countries, producing about 1,609 pounds of trash per person per year and Canadians produce more garbage per person than almost any other country in the world.

Humans have a consience, how can the loggers and other habitat killers not feel bad about destroying other animals homes? Honestly, we dont need to cut down as many trees as we do, all you gotta do is RECYCLE!!!!! I hate seeing areas cleared out for MORE housing and MOre shopping centers. i also hate strip-mining. its so pointless, if you need to fuel your car that bad find an alternative source.

did you know that not every place in the us has recycling? think about all that trash that could, but isn't recyclied because people don't have acess to recycling bens.
i think recycling is a really good thing to do. but most people think that they can only do a little so it is not worth doing at all. but i think that if every single person in the world did all the little thing possible that they could do they outcome would help much more than no one doing their little part.

If you live in Stafford Va you should think about an alternative way to recycle, other than setting out bins. Some of the recycling plants in Stafford are so full that they are sending tons of stuff to the dump...
There are many ways of recycling your clothes so they don't end up in landfills. One is to donate them to charities like Goodwill and Salvation Army. Another alternative, especially if you're on a budget but need new clothes, is to swap them with other people! It's a win-win situation where you help the environment, get new threads, and don't have to spend a penny!

This is our world. We've inherited it from the former generations. Generations which, sadly, have done much harm and much good on this world. Two World Wars, massive pollution and widespread destruction to name a few things. Most of this was just downright stupid for us to have gotten ourselves into this mess in the first place, and now it's left up to the younger generation to figure out a way out of it.
we have recycling bins in my school for bottles and cans but nobody ever uses them. for example there is one located next to a trash can and a student will just throw a bottle into the trash anyway!
Everyone here knows that garbage production is a big problem, but many corporations and corporate executives still don't understand the problem!
We just created a new service called EcoUnit.com to get your voice and opinions about the environment heard by corporate leaders. EcoUnit.com lets companies poll environmentally concerned consumers like yourself on what you think about their current green initiatves. Every poll you take will directly be influencing how companies actually treat the environment!
Not only will taking polls guide companies, we'll also reward your effort with EcoUnits. EcoUnits are carbon offsets, each one takes care of 440 pounds of your carbon output, which means within a few months of EcoUnit surveys you'll be living completely carbon free!
Please take a second to look through our website at www.EcoUnit.com to get more details, we really hope you'll join us in helping companies shape their green policy.

I say schools are the places were most of the paper is wasted as well as some other resources like plastic and alluminuim. I am doing something right now to get recycling to my school as a freshman and I will make sure it works! What are you doing?

Recycle Much?
Talk to local businesses about outting recycling bins in their buildings, especially banks, and places where a lot of paper is used, like at school.
