Writer/Producer Angela Shelton (Tumbleweeds) set out to interview women who share her name across the country. What she discovered was 70% of the women she spoke with had been victims of rape, sexual assault, or domestic violence. Her journey led her back to her home town, where she met an Angela Shelton who tracks sexual predators, and helped her come to terms with her own past. Angela documented her journey with a film and book of the same name, Searching for Angela Shelton. This month, she released a follow-up, Finding Angela Shelton: The True Story of One Woman's Triumph over Sexual Abuse.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of violence against women still goes unreported. Angela created Report It Now Day, where she is encouraging people to break the cycle of violence by showing up at their local courthouses and reporting their own incidents nationwide, on April 29th.
