Attention all you voting virgins -- and those folks who’ve not seen the inside of a voting book in a while: Daughtry has recorded an anthem for you!

In an effort to get you off the couch to register – and then show up to cast your ballot at the polls this November -- the American Idol rocker and his self-titled band have remade the popular Foreigner tune “Feels Like the First Time” as the theme song for for CNN’s League of First-Time Voters, according to the news network.

“We strongly believe that it doesn't matter who you vote for, as long as you vote,” said Chris Daughtry, speaking on behalf of his Grammy-nominated group. “Getting to rerecord a classic song like this was a real honor for us, and we hope it helps inspire people to vote.”

The anticipated music video, feauturing images of first time voters of all ages, along with clips John McCain and Barack Obama on their campaign trails, will premiere Monday, August 18, on Campbell Brown: Election Center, and will also be available on CNN.com via video-on-demand.
