Eleven years after Lance Armstrong started the Livestrong Foundation for cancer awareness, he's still going strong. The champion cyclist and marathon runner was on Good Morning America today to promote national Livestrong Day (May 13).

Lance is still at the forefront of changing our country's legislation on research and finding a cure, and was recently on Capitol Hill to support a bill written by Senators Hutchinson and Kennedy.

Cancer today kills one American every minute. "Something that wreaks that kind of havoc on society," Lance told Good Morning America, "I think should be a priority."

Livestrong Day is a grassroots effort to get people talking about cancer. There are currently 600 events around the country planned.
