Bono guest-edited the current "Africa" issue of Vanity Fair while singer-songwriter Alicia Keys graced one of the 19 covers. It seems that their collaboration does not stop there, however. Keep a Child Alive, one of the charities that Keys has dedicated her time and passion to over the past few years, has a special download promotion on its site right now.

The song that they are selling -- with proceeds going to the program -- is called "Don't Give Up (Africa)" and is a remake of Peter Gabriel's original song. It's a pretty soulful turn for Bono . . . it almost doesn't sound like him. It's got some cool percussion and the video features some heart-wrenching photos.
Keys spent time in Kenya last year doing research and charity work for Keep a Child Alive, and Bono is an ongoing supporter of programs for economic and social change across the continent. Of her experience watching children suffer from lack of HIV/AIDS treatement, Alicia said, "It's the simplest thing to save a life. Every one, single person can be a hero for a dollar a day."
