Look what we found in our mailbox this a.m.: Another email from the America’s Next Top Model judge Nigel Barker, along with a link to footage of the animal rights activist’s day with the baby seals – 275,000 of which, many only weeks old, will be legally slaughtered in Canada STARTING TOMORROW.

“It weighs very heavy on my shoulders knowing these seals will be killed in the most horrific way,” says Nigel in the video. “Seal fur is beautiful – and it looks fashionable on seals. There’s no need for it to be on us at all.”

While the United States has banned this bloody activity, Canada still permits “sealing” as an industry. One note on a Greenpeace message board – from a person who doesn’t approve of sealing but wanted to play devil’s advocate – says: “seal numbers are in the millions, hence this takes place as a ‘cull’.”

Cull or kill, it just isn't humane.

What can YOU do to help put a stop to this? Go to the Humane Society’s website NOW and sign the Pledge: "I pledge not to buy seafood products produced in Canada—such as snow crabs, cod, scallops, and shrimp—until Canada ends its commercial seal hunt for good."
