Below are a few thoughts on a movie that I got the opportunity to see last night called Trade.  Here's the trailer for an idea:

A few facts on the issue as taken from the movie's production notes and the website Free the Slaves:

• The State Department estimates that as many as 800,000 people are trafficked over international frontiers each year, largely for sexual exploitation
• 80% are female; over 50% are minors
• At least 10,000 people a year are smuggled or tricked to come into this country as sex slaves each year
