Charles Lamont Carson co-founded the Tacoma Center YMCA Late Nite Program in Tacoma, WA, to create a safe yet fun place for kids. The program provides recreational activities as well as tutoring, support, and employment training.

Teen Late Nite continues to encourage the development of physical, mental and spiritual well being in urban youth and young adults, by providing a safe environment, consistent adult involvement and challenging programming that fosters excellence and a positive attitude. Activities include basketball, weight lifting, use of workout equipment, pool, ping, pong, XBox and more.
