Daniel Ross worked as Executive Director of Nuestras Raices in Holyoke, MA. Through an urban agriculture initiative, including community gardens, a farmers market and a new inner-city agricultural center, Daniel is ensuring sustainable development, community revitalization, and strong and healthy Latino families in his low-income community.

Recognized as a world-leading social entrepreneur with a lifetime fellowship from Ashoka – Innovators for the Public Good, Daniel has served for over 14 years as Executive Director of Nuestras Raíces, a grass-roots organization to promote economic, human and community development in Holyoke through projects relating to food, agriculture and the environment, and Solutions Community Development Corporation. He has helped community members start over 25 sustainable small food and agriculture businesses, launched and served as Board Chairman of Energía, a for-profit social enterprise energy-efficiency services company.

Daniel Ross continues to be the ED of Nuestras Raices- hich is growing every year! Daniel has also received a Fellowship with Ashoka.
