Describe what this winner does/did: 
Jacob obtains discarded computers, teaches students and prison inmates how to refurbish them and distributes them to local needy.

Computers for Communities is still in action and refurbishing computers through the prison system to distribute to those in need.

CFC is also sponsoring a robotics team in Connecticut to share this type of learning experience and fun with new students. The real-world problem-solving skills delivered through tight-schedule design and build experiences are invaluable to the students who will get to participate!

Jacob is currently a PhD student at Brown University doing research in Neuro-Engineering. His lab is creating implantable devices to go into the brain in order to control robotic prosthetic limbs!
