Jessica Rimington created Cape & Islands Youth Council on Sustainability to identify environmental issues of importance to the Cape, come up with practical solutions, educate others, and take action. Since its start in 2003, students representing eleven different schools have participated in the council.

Jessica’s aspirations went global in 2004 when she started the One World Youth Project, an organization linking schools around the world to help foster international understanding and cooperation. The One World Youth Project is a unique sister-school program for middle and high school students, linking groups in the US/Canada with groups from around the world together in learning partnerships for the purpose of community service toward the achievement of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.
