Describe what this winner does/did: 
Katherine partnered with a friend to combat human trafficking by organizing the first Congressional Briefing on Sex Trafficking in the US, creating a sex trafficking curriculum, and training over 80 community leaders.

Katherine is still the President of the Polaris Project and has worked closely with survivors of labor and sex trafficking through victim identification and service provision. She has testified before U.S. Congress to advocate for stronger policies on human trafficking and has provided training and consultation to numerous government, corporate, and community organizations.
