10 Year Plans to End Homelessness
With all the 10 year plans to end homelessness going on around our nation, you would think they would be making some type of positive headway, but the question is...are they?
With all the budget cuts that will hit Human Services, largely, what will become of these such attempts to end homelessness?
Can you end something like homelessness without getting to its root cause...not just concentrate on past or present drug and alcohol abuse?
Can homelessness ever really end?

I think these plans to end homelessness are a valiant effort, but I don;t think it will ever end, because it has ended and no one ever can get to its root cause...service providers are so busy thinking that the drug and alcohol abuse of their clients will keep them out of homelessness, but they have a lot to learn if they think the end to homelessness is that simple.
There is no "cure all" to end homelessness. This is where Human Services fails, miserably, because they are too busy putting all of the homeless in the same "melting pot."
Human Services has taken the "humanity" out of the equation which is destined for continual failure, if they don't go back to dealing with each individual as a person, not a collective. We are individuals, not case studies; which is where they learn from.
What will work for one, may not necessarily be my way out of that situation. Given the fact we are in the same situation, we are not the same person.
Treat us as individuals...not as clones.
