best friend teased out of school.

backround:
I have a friend who i have knowns since about 3rd grade. we became great friends and our freshmen year of high school she told me she has HIV. i admit, i thought you had to have sex to get HIV/AIDS, she later told me that she got it because her mother breat fed her (her mom is also HIV postive).

find out more:
our school has a group called the "sunny d's". its their job to tell about HIV and AIDs to help erase the stigma that fallows them. i joined this group in order to find out more about HIV and AIDS.
i talked her into joining as well and she desided to come out some people who we thought were friends and they then teased her for it.

teasing:
she was teased and called a horrible things like a gay slut and monkey. it hurt me so much that she was being teased so badly and i went to the school. they said all they couldnt do a thing because they had not seen the abuse. i couldnt believe they wouldnt help her! the teasing our senior year (this year) got so bad, she desided to become home schooled. it makes me soo mad that people are so heartless that theyd tease someone to the point they break.

undate:
i have just found out her HIV has progressed to AIDS. she basicly lives in a children hospital about 4 hours away. now the school is supporting her and acting like they have the entire time!! i hate how people just now care and shove aside all the pain they caused her!!

everyday at school i hear people call her the AIDs girl. i want to just smack them. one day i had to give a speech on behalf of Sunny d's and one kid said she deserved to die for choosing to have HIV in the first place. needless to say i lost it. how can people be so stupid and say such hurtful things and they didnt even know her!

it kills me that my friend is getting sicker and honestly may not have much time left here on earth and people at school just call her the AIDS girl.
