Children power - Helping fight poverty. Kids Caring 4 Kids

A remarkable young girl called Kendall started the charity Kids Caring 4 Kids at the age of 11 (in 2004).

Since then her charity as supported AIDS orphans in Africa, by: feeding 600 orphans, widows & Aids patients in Zambia, helping to set up the Kerus Orphan Care Centre in South Africa, building a dorm for 30 orphaned girls in Kenya, supplying children with bikes so that they can get to school and KC4K does much more.

I am a teacher who lives in Australia and saw this inspiring young girl and learnt about her wonderful charity when I watched an Oprah Winfrey show in 2007. Kendall had been brought on the show by former president Bill Clinton. He had heard about her amazing and inspiring efforts to help others that he had to introduce her to Orpah.
I watched in awe of this amazing young girl thinking not only of herself, but of others. Her caring nature shines so brightly and I was inspired to help her cause.

I set up the charities facebook cause page having never met Kendall or anyone associated with KC4K, and have raised funds for the charity through birthday fundraisers etc. The cause now has 1,429 members.
